*****Update: And the lucky winner of the copy of the Frommer’s Travel guide is…. Lyric! A huge thank you to all who entered this contest and shared their favorite spots near and far. I hope I get to check out each and every one of them in my travels. If you haven’t already, take a sec and read through the comments for some great travel tips!
When one of Frommer’s photo editors contacted me out of the blue to see if I was interested in photographing places all over Seattle for a couple of their upcoming books, I about fell off my chair. Let me think about that for a sec uhh YES!!
It’s always been a dream of mine to photograph for a travel guide or magazine and now it’s come true! My photos in a book on Amazon (also HERE). I’m over the moon!
To celebrate and share the love, I’m giving away a copy of the book shown in the photos above (because it’s the coolest of the two books). I’ll ship it to wherever you live in the world. :)
You may enter to win in one of two ways (or do both to enter twice):
I’ll close the giveaway next Tuesday, February 7th, at Midnight PST.

Great pics Linds! I haven’t traveled all that much, but my favorite place is anywhere in the caribbean on a beach, with a drink in my hand that includes coconut and an umbrella.
I think this is amazing and I am so proud of you. You are so talented!
Well done, you!!! Wonderful pics! Favorite place(s): Scotland (seeing the sites in the land of my ancestors); Iguacu Falls (getting to know the Brazilians); Lesotho (meeting the people and experiencing the culture); London (the parks and gardens)
My favorite place in the world is the Blue Danube river in Vienna, Austria!
I love to take pictures of the Austrians in their dress greens in Winter, and the beautiful buildings along the Blue Danube. … also along the Blue Danube in Budapest, Hungary!
Here’s some love! Great job! Congrats. And my favorite place on earth has to be BWCA right now. It’s quiet. Entirely quiet. Canoeing in a peaceful lake would be about heaven.
My favorite place is Ruby Beach, WA I love strolling the beach and seeing the giant trees on one side and the waves crashing against the rock stacks on the other!
Linds, very nice…congratulatons! My favorite place…Bergen, Norway exploring the back streets of the city and a stroll along the Bryggen.
The book looks fabulous!! I know it’s not just one place but I’m kind of a sucker for washington in general. There are so many different kinds of places to be and things to see, and so much of it is just gorgeous and unique. I like exploring with my family :)
My favorite place in the world… I would have had a difficult time answering this as there are so many beautiful places in the world but.. I have to say my favorite place is anywhere I am with my grandchildren there is beauty. Thank God we live in the Seattle area and can spend time together exploring! (We’ve especially enjoyed shaking spiders with big sticks in their yard hanging from all the beautiful foliage.)
Lindsay-we bought the book last night and your pics are fantastic (one of your “subjects” was OK too ;-) ). You do such good beautiful work and should be SO proud! I only wish I could see the world the way you do. Jan
Lindsey – this is so cool! They just contacted you out of the blue?? How on earth does that ever happen? :)
beautiful work as always! I’ve always meant to pick up a local travel guide–I will NEED your autograph when I get my copy!
